I noticed that when i plug in a usb cable to the alesis, all of the audio level led's light up and stay lit comstantly with no audio inputs.
I called the place where I bought it from, and he said it sounded like a faulty box. Not the sturdiest exxpress, but built as expected at that price point. While the iO2 is an easy hook up, you really have to crank the pots for any quality volume.

How does this make you feel? Specially when used with an ipad2 using Garageband.
You need an external USB power Hub to have the right power to get the signal into the ipad. Since I bought it I will tolerate it for now. I haven't tried a mic rophone with it, but alssis what I want to do home recording with programmed beats, midi keyboard and live electric bassit is perfect.

Alesis has not responded to my email support requests. They won't send out an email to finish creating an account, and no support until your account is created. It only lists one thing which is "Conexant HD Audio" The Alesis iO2 Express USB Audio Interface is an affordable yet efficient way to improve your computer's audio quality in home and project recording applications. Cannot figure why theres no playback. When connected to Roland GI 20 midi guitar you can use the ipad to compose, improvise, record and just have fun using a Godin Guitar as a controller.
